Kauri dieback is the fungus-like organism, specific to New Zealand Kauri, that is killing kauri trees from the Far North to as far south as Kawhia Harbour. To reduce the spread of the disease by visitors to public conservation lands, DOC’s Kauri Dieback Recreation Project involves the upgrade, closure or careful management of approximately 300 DOC tracks across kauri forests.

We seek a Project Coordinator with the skills to coordinate and monitor project activity, ensure sound resourcing of staff, finances and the creation and control of project documentation including plans and reports over the next year.

The Project Coordinator will report to the Project Manager, helping them to deliver on Project milestones through transparent systems, reporting and project documentation.

This role works within a capable team of professionals to deliver on their areas of speciality (including communications, capital project management, engagement, behaviour change and technical support).

Technical experience in project management would be an advantage.
