We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and skilled Ranger to join our dedicated team

As a Ranger responsible for recreation and historic assets, you will have oversight for tracks, huts and campgrounds on the island including the Aotea Track. You will also manage several historic sites across the island as well as recreation assets on Rakitu Island and on the Mokohinau Group.

The successful applicant will have

  • sound experience and practical knowledge in recreation asset management
  • a passion for the outdoors and in providing for others to use and enjoy our natural environment
  • project management, contract management and work scheduling experience
  • computer literacy including excel spreadsheets and asset management systems such as AMIS
  • strong health and safety values
  • a conservation or recreation/tourism management qualification or equivalent experience
