Waikaremoana Holiday Park is situated on the shores of Lake Waikaremoana in Te Urewera, which remains the largest area of intact native forest in the North Island. The Waikaremoana Holiday Park provides a range of accommodation and facilities which allow visitors to connect to nature and explore the many walks nearby or boating, fishing and kayaking on the lake.

We are seeking two highly motivated and suitably experienced people to manage the daily operations of the Waikaremoana Holiday Park.   Ideally these positions are best suited but not restricted to couples in a strong and well-established relationship. The positions are for a negotiable term.  Accommodation is provided on-site.

If you have the following qualities and experience, then we would love to hear from you:

  • Operation and/or management of holiday parks
  • Asset management and maintenance
  • Management of staff
  • Customer relationship and safety
  • Understanding and appreciation of the value of iwi relationships
  • Effective communication skills
  • Retail and stock management

The Waikaremoana Holiday Park is situated in Te Urewera. With the signing of the Te Urewera Act 2014, Te Urewera ceased to be a national park and became its own legal identity. Ngai Tūhoe and the Department of Conservation work in partnership in the management of Te Urewera, in accordance with Te Urewera act and consistent with the management plan Te Kawa o Te Urewera.

Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory, including a valid work visa covering the whole period of employment if applying internationally.
