Trainee Ranger Certificate – NMIT


nmitNMIT is the only tertiary institution in the country that works in partnership with the Department of Conservation to deliver the Trainee Ranger Certificate. Graduates have the opportunity to apply for a limited number of two-year ranger trainee contracts within DOC or seek employment in local and regional councils, nature tourism ventures, biodiversity work or zoos.

NMIT’s Primary Industries programmes have a strong focus on “hands on” careers and provide training for some of the region’s key industries. Our staff are well qualified and work closely with industry to ensure that programmes are aligned with industry needs.
