Event Details

The 35th Australasian Wildlife Management Society (AWMS) conference will be held 06-08 December 2022, at the Napier War Memorial Conference Centre (Napier, NZ), and you can be a part of it!

After two years of online conferences, we are looking forward to welcoming delegates face-to-face for this year’s AWMS2022 conference.

AWMS promotes the use of science to identify appropriate wildlife management principles and practices, develop plans of management, and to implement and review these plans within a social, environmental, economic and political context.  AWMS members include research scientists, educators, wildlife managers, and extension, interpretation and policy professionals.

The Call for Abstracts for AWMS2022 is now open, and we welcome the submission of abstracts on any wildlife management research or topic.

The conference will feature symposia on the following topics:

  • Predator free 2050
  • Conserving taonga species
  • The Land manager/Practitioner symposium
  • Open Symposium on Wildlife Management

For more information, please download the Call for Abstracts HERE. Abstracts must be submitted by 31 August 2022 via our online Abstract Submission Form (HERE).
