Island Conservation is seeking an assistant project manager to support the planning and implementation of the Kawau wallaby and possum eradication. Those with experience in leading projects, excellent organizational skills and proficiency in GIS and data management are encouraged to apply. The Assistant Project Manager for the Kawau project will support the Kawau Project Manager to deliver wallaby and possum eradication. The role requires:
- Leadership (good interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, problem solving, and team building)
- Technical project management skills (e.g. trail camera image collection and analysis, GIS mapping and data analysis, support with scheduling, risk management, permissions, contract management, reporting and decision making)
- Eradication experience (a working knowledge of eradication principles and the thinking required to achieve success, knowledge of compliance and local regulations)
This position is fixed-term for 2 years and requires extensive time being based on Kawau Island.
