Mō te tūranga | About the role
We are looking for someone passionate about the environment who is looking to build knowledge and experience in the field of biosecurity.
As part of the Kauri Protection team, you will:
- Coordinate and support a wide range of projects within the team.
- Deliver education programmes on Kauri to a diverse range of audiences.
- Manage enquiries related to kauri protection and take actions as necessary.
- Conduct tree health assessments and in-field work.
- Support the team with key tasks including reporting, contracts, procurement, and administration tasks.
- Be based in the Hamilton office, however some travel across the region will be required.

Our ideal candidate will be organised, able to work independently and be willing to hit the ground running. You will also have:
- Good attention to detail,
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills,
- Ability to demonstrate high levels of motivation and initiative,
- Ability to interact with a variety of people and groups.
Mō ngā pūkenga | Qualifications and experience
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience.
- A qualification in Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Science, Communications or similar.
- Full drivers licence is essential for this role, and being able to (or learn to!) tow a trailer is desirable.
