We have an exciting opportunity for a land management professional with an in-depth knowledge of catchment restoration and a genuine desire to improve and protect our district’s waterways and wetlands. Based in our Richmond office, we are seeking someone highly organised and proactive with a practical can-do attitude, and the ability to work positively with landowners in priority catchments to coordinate and implement restoration projects to reduce soil loss, control erosion, and minimize the discharge of nutrients and contaminants. Another important aspect of the role will be to work in co-operation with various trusts, organisations, and Iwi to assist in the preparation of external funding applications.

Our ideal candidate will come to us with a tertiary qualification in environmental science, geography, ecology, or similar and have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field of environmental management. You will demonstrate a good working knowledge of contract and project management and the ability to engage positively and constructively with various community groups.
