Part-time, 12 month contract position

Project Parore, in partnership with Katikati Taiao, is seeking to support and connect the people of Katikati with our goals of restoring and protecting our natural environment. We are looking for a dynamic person to be our Environment Leader to strengthen community engagement.
The person who is right for this role will have a demonstrated commitment to environmental stewardship, an understanding of community-led development principles and be highly capable of planning and organising activities and events. They’ll be an excellent communicator, great with technology and can inspire, excite, and energise. Building community ownership of project outcomes to ensure long term sustainability is an important part of the job.
Reporting to the Project Parore Program Manager, this role is a part-time contract for an initial 12 months. Hours are flexible but are expected to be up to 24 per week. Evening and weekend availability will be required from time-to-time.
