Good Wood Aotearoa Limited
Good Wood Aotearoa are seeking a Park Ranger to join our team.
We are a privately owned company established in 2016 as an environmental conservation services company working predominantly in the plant and animal pest control arena.
You will be part of a team who are mainly based on Waiheke Island with long periods of time at Mahurangi and Shakespear Regional Parks working primarily on environmental weed control. There will also be predator control work in areas like Shakespear and Tawharanui Regional Parks, and revegetation work in the winter. The work will involve strenuous walking off-track in the bush using herbicides and related tools, so a high level of fitness is essential. It can involve working alone doing animal pest control or in teams doing plant pest control.

- Have a full and clean drivers licence
- Have a high level of fitness
- Have a degree in a relevant conservation field with a strong understanding of conservation principles
- Have at least 4 years prior experience in a Park Ranger role or similar
