The Trust is looking for a full-time Ranger with a passion for conservation and keen to play an active and supportive role that shares our vision for the future.

The ideal applicant will be:

  • Fit, bush-savvy, and can work diligently through the physical and mental challenges the forest may bring
  • Passionate about conservation and respectful of the environment
  • Have sound knowledge and experience in pest control and conservation. CSL qualification and any other educational or skill-based certificates, such as First Aid, will be highly regarded
  • Great communicator to be able to efficiently liaise with other staff, trustees, volunteers, and key stakeholders
  • Reliable, trustworthy and have integrity
  • Team player but also confident to work alone
  • Have some understanding of tikanga/te reo or have the willingness to learn.
