Mō te tūranga | About the role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role of Principal Ranger is all about leading district-based operations teams and supporting them to deliver priority work programmes effectively. You’ll be the senior operations leader on-site managing a small local team across the Alexandra area.

The position will be focussed on:

• Recruiting and onboarding staff and building a positive and collaborative team environment
• Planning, scheduling and assigning work, ensuring tasks are delivered within timelines and budget
• Being part of the District Leadership Team and contributing to decisions around resources and priorities
• Understanding and respecting the importance of the work for Māori/ iwi, fostering positive working relationships to reach mutually beneficial outcomes
• Managing budgets and financials; tracking outputs, outcomes, and risks
• Collaborate across internal teams and with our community partners
• Lead by example by building strong relationships and consistently acting with integrity in everything you do

The salary range for this position is $92,912 – $117,570 with the starting salary of the successful applicant being based on their relevant skills and experience.
